Beyond Binaries in Buenos Aires (2023)
I traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina in grad school to make a documentary on gender-expansive language with my group partner Alexa Erbach. The doc became a feature on nonbinary, trans femme, and gender non-conforming people instead.
This project challenged me to collaborate with one other person and empowered me to trust another person’s vision and voice.
Lana and Jen (2021)
Lana and Jen (2021) captures a sense of fleeting romance on New Year’s Eve of 2019, when two lovers, Lana and Jen, decide to go into the new year with different people.
This was my senior thesis for Morehouse’s film program, which I thought I lost until I found it in my YouTube archives in Q1 of 2024.
I don’t own the rights to the songs used in this film and their usage is non-commercial.
Ward Wellington Ward Doc(2022)
I went to Syracuse NY to visit a friend and avoid home drama, yet I still had assignments to do. In the span of a week, I learned of the early-20th century Arts and Craft architect, Ward Wellington Ward — a Frank Lloyd Wright Contemporary — and found his homes around Syracuse. After getting my material and going home to complete a “film-on-your-phone” assignment I broke my dominant hand.
I had to edit this film on my phone with one hand.
